3 Easter Activities You Can Enjoy At Home

April 8, 2020

Easter is a great time to celebrate with your family. Whether you prefer being in the kitchen or you’re looking for some fun activities, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the celebration, even during social distancing.

We’ve gathered 3 ideas to help you enjoy the long weekend at home. Don’t forget to include your loved ones via video chat!

Bake a dessert.

While the only place you can be is at home, why not try a new dessert recipe? And since it’s Easter and everyone is expecting chocolate, how about trying one of our chocolaty recipes?

Nothing brings people together like food! If you’re at home with your kids, have your little helpers pick between making some decadent chocolate cookies or our crunchy chocolate bark. If you’re home alone, get on Skype and have a bake-off with your loved ones. Either way, there’s a tasty treat for everyone to enjoy at the end of this activity!

Organize an easter egg hunt.

The Easter egg hunt is a classic Easter activity. Try to organize a hunt that everyone at home can participate in and enjoy. Grab some small chocolate eggs at your next grocery store visit, hide them around the house and simply have your family or roommates use a bowl to find and collect them. The prize? Getting to eat all the chocolate eggs you find, of course!

Have fun with some Easter arts & crafts.

Whether you prefer the classic egg dye activity, egg decorating or some colouring with the kids, getting creative is a great way to bring everyone together around the kitchen table for a fun afternoon. Thanks to the internet, there is no shortage of ideas on how to enjoy some crafts. You can find some Easter images to print for your kids to colour or even follow tutorials for the perfect egg dye.

Social distancing is not easy, but there are plenty of ways to spend some quality time with your loved ones. Remember to do it virtually with the people who don’t live with you!

Happy Easter from the Oatbox family.
