Every now and then, we hear so many new tricks and trends that can help us achieve a healthier lifestyle. Diet, carbs, calories, good fats and bad fats, superfoods, it can quickly become dazing. By trying to follow all the advice we pick up here and there, we’re left with nothing more than vegetables to eat, and that’s only if it’s organic! It’s a bit ridicule and it can make the act of eating unpleasurable -- while it should be the complete opposite. For the month of January, the month during which you should gain good habits instead of weight, we have asked ourselves a question: what does it mean to be healthy? We have reached out to our good friends Sophie and Chloe at Happy Fitness (www.happyfitness.ca) to help us sort things out. If you think healthy, then you’re definitely thinking about this dynamic duo. They have invited us to brave the cold and endure a morning training session before discussing about our products. We could not refuse.

So, what is it exactly, to be healthy? Yes, it’s exercising, it’s eating well, it’s eating a healthy breakfast everyday. But why does it seem so difficult? This is exactly what we have in common with Happy Fitness: our will to simplify the path to achieve both physical and mental healthiness. According to Sophie and Chloe, and now to us too, health can be summed up in three words: pleasure, balance, simplicty.

For the New Year, health starts by eating healthy foods that taste great, that you’ll actually enjoy eating, and by going outside to get a sweat. Call a friend and motivate yourselves mutually. Resolve to eat a healthy breakfast everyday, and see your evergy increase during the day. It’ll be much easier to want to go outside and spend it all.
